Natch's struggle will take him from the halls of power in Melbourne to the ruined cities of the diss. Hanging in the balance is the fate of MultiReal, a technology that could end the tyranny of the Council forever—or give the Council the ultimate weapon of oppression. Book 2 in the Jump Series. Praise for Infoquake.   MultiReal is the sequel to David Louis Edelman's Infoquake: Book One of the Jump Trilogy, which I have described as Neuromancer meets Barbarians at the Gate: The Fall of RJR Nabisco or Snow Crash meets Rebel Code: Linux and the Open Source Revolution meets The Predators' Ball: The Inside Story of Drexel Burnham and the Rise of the Junk Bond Raiders MultiReal not only takes Infoquake 5/5(5).

Infoquake is the best book I read in It has everything required of great science fiction: technology, psychology and an enthralling story. Anyone that reads science fiction should pick this up, even if you don't prefer hard sci-fi. [Interesting trivial footnote: The ARC (advance reader's copy) of Infoquake from Pyr differs slightly from the released version, in that it inverts the order of the last two chapters. Edelman may have decided the book needed to end on a more upbeat note.
